ABOUT THE LAKE:
Lake Eugenia is a man-made lake dating back to the early 1900’s when The Hydro Electric Power Commission of Ontario purchased 1,900 acres of land from farmers in 1913. This land was then flooded which formed bays and inlets. The Lake began as a popular hot spot for locals in the 1950’s and ever since, has seen an increase of cabins and large cottages and year-round living. This lake has a dam, public boat launch, public beach and an island. This lake falls under the Niagara Escarpment as does nearby Eugenia Falls Conservation Area which spans 23 hectares of land, rivers and forest. Enjoy hiking to the cliffs edges in the Beaver Valley with its fabulous look-outs or enjoy scenic drives through the Valley and countryside. Enjoy the year-round beauty that abounds in this area which makes for a fantastic get-away location.
